I dont know much about salt water tanks. but What if someone Made a filter that was also a heater? if there is not something like that already. It would save space in your tank.

yea agreed but im sure if they sold it in a pet store it would be overpriced.

thanks ^w^

I was thinking maybe make it a sponge filter kinda thing that sits in the bottom of the tank. Or at least have the option of a sponge filter to be added onto it. maybe even some colorful lights or bubbles or something that makes it look nice at the same time.

ok i get what your sayin but im sure it would take a long time a good working one done but who knows eh.

yeah lots of tries and lots of errors most likely. .

Eheim makes thermofilters. They aren't very successful in sales, or at least that is the impression I have, as otherwise they would have more thermofilter models.

As for marine, the vast majority of marine tanks have a sump, or the AIO tanks have a rear compartments where to stuff all the equipment and keep the tank free.

EDIT:
Another thing, if you don't have a sump you can get an external heater to mount inline with your filter and remove it from inside the tank.
