What are you doing today?

@gwand I know I would eventually get distracted and walk away if I refilled at that speed, and those beautiful floors would suffer. It wouldn't be the spilled water that would cause trouble, it would be the blood when my wife was finished with me.
There are automagic shutoff valve for those who can't remember to turn off the water when the tank is full ;)

You've obviously never worked as a public school teacher.
LOL! When my kids were in elementary school in the mid 1980s I would take my computer in and do a kids computer seminar. Kids are scary! Actually they tended to ask better questions than adults. Mayhaps that was due to their not yet being conditioned to be afraid to question things.

Tea, breakfast, meeting with our house church, then heading off to the Wyoming Music Educators' Association annual conference up in Cody. I am presenting a session on student songwriting this year. Should be fun: I love my short people, but the older I get, the more I enjoy teaching adults. :)🤘

Ive found a way to kill BBA. It turns out that taking the algae out of the tank and leaving it for 20+ minutes kills it.
Only works on hard surfaces, though ;) it still smothers my plants however 🙃

@MattW that taking the algae out plan sounds good, but how do you turn the tank inside out? I've been trying for hours.

I'm getting set to go fishing - 8 lots of fish and 6 of plants going to the club meeting. The plants are easy to catch.

I’m going to the Aquarist Society of Central Maryland today for our monthly meeting. I hope to obtain some plants and see some friends. The meetings are held in a microbrewery with great ale, beer and cider.
Our meeting is in an aquarium store with after hours discounts on fish, food, etc.

I’m just taking it easy today and enjoying the nice winter days we’re having . The mellowest winter I can remember in years . Last year I found a nice trail running area very close to home but the bulldozer crowd found it too and are leveling it . I’m going to take a walk over there and say goodbye to a long lost friend .

Sorry for the late response, I thought I heard my name.

I'm having a great day! I'm watching college bowl games, having a cocktail, made homemade pizza, shrimp cocktail snack later, female black phantom tetras are starting to look plump this winter. Maybe they'll spawn this spring?
Reflecting on things I'm reminding myself to ignore those that have more money than common sense. They seem to know everything.
On the downside, step son has been on a binge since Christmas. I'm sure that will come to a head soon.
Happy New Year everyone!
Oh, okay, now I am the one who forgot... had I asked you about? I am sorry, I really forgot. That is good. We make pizza at home here, thanks to the terrible shrinkflation in the pizzerias.

Anyway, okay, so many days reflecting. New Year's Eve, just me and mommy. I am not the one who thinks the New Year is the greatest thing ever, and just a time passage by Pope Gregory XIII's papal bull (although I have loved walking in the streets of West Palm Beach in 2018's Eve and seeing so many people celebrating, and I still have some photos recorded). Also, I do not list any New Year's promises, but I intend to improve my Instagram profile as far as I can (for becoming more attractive, including for dating), as well as to take better pictures of myself. Yoga was an example of a thing that I started to like, and I never thought about putting it as a New Year's resolution. It was simply a decision of mine (and also because of a potential date). I still go, no matter what happens (apparently, my knees are improving).

However, 2026 will be ephemeris for my grandparents' death (it will be 10 years since I lost them alive). They would have completed 90 years if they were still alive. My great-grandfather lived more than my grandfather (83 years against 80)... that is weird.

Photo below of me using a tripod and my Canon (New Year's Eve):

Since I do not have any particular visagist nor a friend photographer, I had to use ChatGPT to analyze my photos. What could I do, after all?

Oh, okay, I also started to think once again about applying for an M.S. in Aquaculture at Can Tho University. I have been talking to Dr. Patrick Sorgeloos about that... yes, the main reference in the world concerning brine shrimp cultivation answers my e-mails, but the women on Instagram Direct... however, I do not like to lament about that because I find it so pathetic. However, since I have seen some people online discussing that the Vietnamese university system differs from Western standards, it may not be worth studying in Vietnam if one plans to later attend a university in another country, such as Europe, North America, or Oceania. But when I asked about this to Sorgeloos, he answered me that besides Can Tho University and Ghent University having a joint PhD degree agreement (Ghent University is one of the best universities of the world when we talk about brine shrimp), with Can Tho's M.S. degree, I "can certainly enrol for PhD studies at many universities in the world". What do you think? Oh, when I showed my simple brine shrimp culture, he praised and said that they "look healthy", although I still do not know how long my culture will last. Yesterday I made a partial water change on my Artemia culture (it is a hard thing to do, seriously).

Below are the Lange three generations: mommy, grandfather, and great-grandfather. I always carry these photos in my wallet. I just need a picture of mine and a picture of my great-great-grandfather.

I am almost finishing Emilia's 1985 book "The Brazilian Empire: myths and histories". I wish you a great 2026!
