I'm exhausted. How can a 3 year old keep going for so long?

We spent the day with our son, his partner and our grandson.

Just watching football today. Also sort of sad to hear that Brigitte Bardot died at 91. While looking at some stuff I also found that Diane Keaton also died this past October.

Bardot was a sort of oddball as a 1950s and 60s sex symbol and, shall we say, a lack sexual inhibitions. Still she quit acting at 39 and did a lot for women's and animal's rights.

Keaton was the epitome of the perfect actress and could do any kind of role. Nothing bothered her at all. One movie she did, The Good Mother directed by Leonard Nimoy, had a scene where she had a long dialog. Nimoy was heard saying that she had just won an Academy award. Sadly, someone loaded the wrong film in one of the cameras According to Nimoy's book "I Am Not Spok", had like 10 dozen roses delivered before telling her. Her reaction was just to brush it off saying something like "These things happen when making films". Of course Nimoy is also gone.

As to Nimoy most people only remember him as Star Trek's Spok but he did so much more. Along with The Good Mother, he also directed others such as Three Men And A Baby. He also did a few seasons with the series Mission Impossible and even did stage work as Finnegan in Oliver and a top role in Fiddler On The Roof.

Sorry for the length of this as I expected to be more pithy but I was a fan of all three; especially Keaton and Nimoy.

Nimoy could also be quite funny, which you wouldn't guess based on his Star Trek character alone. I thought he would have made a much better Barnabas Collins than Johnny Derp in the Dark Shadows remake.
Bardots passing is sad to us old timers but I'd guess the alphabet crowd has no idea who she was. My very strict parents did not approve of her poster being pinned up, alongside Racquel Welch and Farrah Fawcet, but strangely had no problem with the NGK sparkplug girls.

Back on topic, after work I'm making my third attempt at a Sculpey terrace for the bow front re-do. I am DETERMINED to make this work, despite the previous failures.
It's a lot cheaper than buying a 3d printer.

I found a cell phone cheap yesterday, have to go to ATT and get a sim card for it. My 4 year old Samsung's power button is failing and if I had to make a phone call, the odds on it turning on to let me do so are pretty near zip. Found a motorola to try. I expect to spend the day learning to operate it and paying bills.

Filling out my running log I find that I will have put about 400 more miles on my running shoes this year than I did my car ! That makes me happy .

On September 19 I had a Cockatoo spawn. Now I have 35 juveniles that are three months old. The parents were removed from the tank 4 weeks ago. Today I transferred the smaller and less colorful juveniles to another 20 gallon long. The spawning tank was getting too crowded. BTW the dither fish in this tank are n. beckfordi. Contrary to what I was told, there was little predation of the fry by the beckfordi.

We're dodging a freezing rain storm that's hitting the province, but instead have torrents of rain and freight train sounding winds. It's a nice day to be cozy, though I did go out and change some water in hopes the pressure changes inspires the corys.

Anytime we dodge freezing rain, the northern fishkeeper's nemesis, we're ahead.

I read Cockatoo and instantly visualized a tall white bird. Congrats.

As for me I need to finish a sewing machine, cabinet is ready, and I have almost got all my passwords and stuff in the new phone. I just removed sim from my old phone and moved it over, it came with a tool.

I have to vacuum out the remaining sand pieces, then strip the silicone off a 4 foot 40 gallon today. Once the dust settles on the holidays, I can re-silicone it. It had a very slow leak, maybe a droplet a minute from the narrow end base. A drop a minute adds up, and from little leaks grow great big leaks.
The glass is good and the fix is easy, if time consuming. It's been impossible to get to with everything going on here.

Sorry for the late response, I thought I heard my name.

I'm having a great day! I'm watching college bowl games, having a cocktail, made homemade pizza, shrimp cocktail snack later, female black phantom tetras are starting to look plump this winter. Maybe they'll spawn this spring?
Reflecting on things I'm reminding myself to ignore those that have more money than common sense. They seem to know everything.
On the downside, step son has been on a binge since Christmas. I'm sure that will come to a head soon.
