We’re coming up on another hot streak but only in the low 100’s Fahrenheit . I’m still not going to complain because this doesn’t last . I will , however , take advantage of it by shampooing the carpet today . The warm weather with the windows open drys the carpet quickly .

The weatherman is calling for it to be in the 100’s Fahrenheit all week long this week . My brine shrimp hatch almost immediately it seems and my wingless fruit flies multiply very quickly . The heaters are all unplugged and the two that aren’t never come on that I can see . There are advantages to hot weather . We’re right in midsummer now with the warmest days yet to come and soon fall will be upon us . I like it like this and am using it to my advantage .

Also heavy Frost, was 30 degrees at 7:00 am this morning in my neck of the Woods, Had to let the Wrangler defrost before my Sunday grocery shopping, actually felt nice! I’m 67, stop at my Mom’s for coffee before shopping every Sunday, told her to get her heavier coat on, we sit outside on the porch and “review” all the weeks “drama” from all the grandkids, family, etc… She enjoys me stopping and having our coffee… And it was chilly! I’m her first kid, and probably the most sane one even though I grew up in the early 70’s.. Boy, if she only knew!,,

Frost last Wednesday and killed my squash vines . Now I can look in there and see how many I have . I got a ton of them !
Windy the past few days but the weatherman is calling for mid 60’s to low 70’s this week . Indian Summer . And what , the full moon in about a week ? Fall is great !

Weather is fluctuating in Sheridan but pretty mellow. Next 10 days are forecast at, mostly, 60s and 70s.

Sheridan and Billings are about 120 miles apart as the crow flies and have almost the same exact weather . I watch this to see how it holds and rarely are the two locations different . Strange because Sheridan is practically backed right up against the mighty Bighorn Mountains .

Actually the mountains shelter Sheridan from some of the worst weather. The mountains form a sort of horseshoe around Sheridan which acts like a bay off of an ocean. The hook of the mountains act as a weather buffer just like a bay in a body of water.
