Yellowstone Geyser Runoff

Yep, we are blessed to live here, for sure. I think that if I bothered to spend enough time in Yellowstone to get off the beaten paths, I'd love it. I've heard that something like three percent of the whole area is accessible by cars/short hikes; the rest is true wilderness. I've just never spent enough time there to see that part, which I guess makes me part of the problem.

I love living in a place where I can go out and walk (or even drive) around all day and have a better-than-average chance of not seeing another human. That's rare in today's world.

That’s what I like most about living in Billings . Even though it be the biggest “ city “ in Montana it’s only a short ride out of town to places you see few or any people . Everyone goes to The Beartooth Mountains but those in the know go to the Pryor’s . They’re mostly on the Crow reservation so you don’t see many people at all . There’s a place only six miles from my house that’s BLM land on the mighty Yellowstone River . Never have seen a soul there . There’s usually two or three cars in the parking area but I’ve never seen the occupants of said cars . I’ve seen more deer than people there . Six miles from home !
