Trying Again With Tropical Fish

Great stuff - just picked up the tank - they'd measured it wrong! The tank size is 76.5cm x 30cm x 30cm so approx 70 litres.

Got loads of questions, but no time to ask them - will be back later with lots.

Oh one to start it - the tank came with a bottle of "Interpet Gold Tap Safe" for making tap water safe for goldfish. Is that suitable for tropical fish aswell or not? Also does it go off? It's probably not been used for a few years

Just noticed that the 'bargain' tank has a crack in the bottom

The tap water treatment will be fine if it is intended to remove chlorine and chloramine. It is not a brand that I use but they all work about the same. The crack in the bottom glass is a serious problem in my opinion. That will need to be repaired or the bottom replaced before you add any water to your new tank.

Yep waiting for silicone, was supposed to be here today, but it's not!

Am going with the repair - should be stronger than before once that's done
