So after initially freaking out (post came, no fish) and storming back to the bedroom to check my ebay the postman returned about 5 minutes later with my fish *panic over*

They seem a little bit stressed (as to be expected) but otherwise seem to be in good health.

Need to wait for them to colour up as they seem different to the pre-purchase photo's, but it's likely due to discolouration during transport.

1 lovely little male, and a lovely little female.

Will start chucking some pics up in the next few minutes.

Purchased the fish from Kesgrave Tropicals, via ebay, fish turned up in good health, fantastically packaged, on time, heat packs still warm.
Can't fault him at all, and I recommend him to you all

Glad they turned up ok, I have never orderd fish by post, i have sent some, it was nerve wracking, thankfully the people I sent fish too mailed me the minute they arrived.

The horses were more reliable than the vans....

Okay, got some pics of them "settling" into their new home.

Firstly some more odd behaviour.. "Hopeless", my lonely male guppy started rubbing himself all over the female, I thought he was attacking her at first, but no, he was just rubbing up against her, like an affectionate cat.. that guppy really is hopeless.

Also my lone agassizi has taken interest in the female already, so we've already entered turf wars between the male agassizi and the male cockatoo.. need to keep an eye on this.

Our binmen are just as crap. And they always expect wage increases.

This is what the fish are advertised as on Kesgraves ebay;



waiting to see if this fish colours up and actually is as advertised. The ebay page says the fish you are purchasing are the fish in the pictures.

looks good, just watch you cichlids with you bumble bees. Also i'm not sure whether thats a female betta?

She has an egg spot, which is the only thing from thinking its a male plakat.

And i'll be watching the bees carfully, but they get along with the guppy and the agassizi, so should be fine.

it'll need time, you haven't had them in the tank long enough yet IMO, you'll need to give it at least a month, it takes a while for territories to develop. The Bolivians, once they get full sized might find them as a good (but expensive) food source.

You reckon the cacs will eat the bumblebee's?? O-o

The male has a lot of yellow on his fins, I don't think he's a super red, as advertised

i doubt very much that a bolivian ram (or an apisto) will eat or attempt to eat bumblebee gobies

nice apistos. hopefully they colour up similar to the pics the seller had. are u going to try and find an agassizi female?
