MLB 2026

Sometimes a long streak can be tough on fans. I remember when Cleveland set the record with 22 straight in 2016 it was like, "Is this the game they blow it?".
Agreed. Bet the Giants fans way back in early 1900s were like, dont blow it guys! (MLB record high in history, 26 game winning streak).

I remember the Braves had a 14 game winning streak 2 or 3 (cant remember exactly) years ago, that was fun. It is like watching your team win for 2 weeks in a row... literally!

The Boston Red Sox have won 14 games in a row heading into today's matchup against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.
This is the longest active winning streak in Major League Baseball this season and marks the second-longest win streak in franchise history. They are now just one win shy of tying the club record of 15 consecutive victories set back in 1946.
All I can say is, amazing. They are over 500 JUST like that.

Actually, if I remember right, the Giants 26 was really an 'undefeated' streak, not a 'winning' streak. In the early 1900s a game could end in a tie for several reasons. Part of the Giants streak was at least one tie. A tie is not a win so can't logically be included in a winning streak. LOL! Therefore, with my great wisdom, I declare that Cleveland's 22 game streak in 2016 is the true record as all were actual wins... ;)

True, very true.

Well, the Red Sox game for Tuesday was cancelled due to rain. Double header on Wednesday. With a win in first game, Sox can tie franchise record for most wins in a row...14 (record was made in 1946). If the Sox win both games, they will set a new Sox' record of 15 wins!

Sox are leading Orioles 6 to 3 in the bottom of the eighth.@jaylach...are you starting to believe!
Second game of double header is tonight at 7:30 pm ET

And the Red Sox WIN 6 to 3. They are now tied for the franchise record of a win streak at 15 games. Tonight, hopefully, we beat the record. Stay tuned!

I only check mlb once every 2 or 3 weeks. Last time i checked the red socks were like so far in last place their season was over.

I have one question: How the **** did they win 15 games in a row AND sweep the division leader ?

According to AI:
Several key rookies are currently contributing to the Boston Red Sox's historic season, seeing regular playing time as the team chases records:
  • Jake Bennett (LHP): Emerged as a reliable starting pitcher. The 25-year-old lefty has been a strong presence in the rotation, consistently generating swings-and-misses.
    • Eduardo Rivera (LHP): A 23-year-old fireballing lefty who jumped into the majors directly and has been highly effective out of the bullpen and starting.
    • Payton Tolle (LHP): Added to the pitching mix, providing Boston with another talented young left-handed arm to support the depth chart.
    • Caleb Durbin (3B): Making significant impacts at the plate and on the basepaths, recently hitting clutch, tie-breaking home runs during Boston's record-setting winning streak.
    • Anthony Seigler (2B): Providing solid infield defense and showing great versatility as a dependable switch-hitting option.
    • Tsung-Che Cheng (SS): A young, contact-oriented infielder getting starting nods against right-handed pitching.
JAKE BENNETT was today's winning pitcher for the Sox

I'm signed up for a month of access to Red Sox games.
Bad 1st inning for the Sox....they are behind by 4 runs in the 1st inning. RS starting pitcher has already been replaced after a pitiful start.

Did you go MLB.TV or another source?

Hey a question... Is it just Cleveland or do all teams do this? You can get a $50.00 ticket that will get you in at any home game for the month. Figure an average of 13 home games a month and it is only $3.85 per game. Granted it is for standing room only but still....

I do not think the Braves do this. THAT IS AWESOME though! I need to look into it.
