MLB 2026

Red Sox play the Yankees in the 2nd playoff game tonight at 8 PM. Sonny Gray, a top notch pitcher, will start for the Sox. It would be awesome if Sox can defeat the Yankees and force a deciding game 3. Nothing better to watch in baseball than the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry in a winner take all game.

Yankees starting pitcher is Max Fried with an ERA of 2.80 Red Sox starter, Sonny Gray, has an ERA of 2.76 . Could be a pitcher's duel in the game tonight. Hope the Sox can put some runs on the board....they haven't scored very well in recent games.

Time for one of my pet peeves... ;)

Braves/Philly went extra innings WITHOUT a runner starting on second like in the regular season. I don't like the automatic runner on second. If it is the best way to go why is it not done in the playoffs?

LOL! I also do not like the DH! I wish the AL had dropped it instead of the NL adopting. Changes a chess match into a game of checkers.

<edit>
Well Braves lost much to the glee of the team waiting for the winner. ANY team that had a bye would want the wildcard to go three games to allow the bullpen less time to rest.

Red Sox lose 9 to 2. In the two games they were outscored 18 to 2....pretty sad.
Yankees looking strong going into the next stage of the finals. And Aaraon Judge may return soon from being on the injured list.

The Yankees lost to the Rays 1--0. That's awesome!
Meanwhile the Guardians lost to the White Sox. 3-0.

there's a local restaurant (IHOP) that offers a breakfast for $7. You get 2 eggs cooked as you like, pancakes or home fries, and two sausages or bacon strips .... all for $7. And you can get a coupon for 3 pancakes on your next visit
Can't beat that!.

Ya, I wish Cleveland had done better in the first game but I'm not really surprised. Not saying they can't come back but, in my opinion, they just don't score consistently enough to go deep in the playoffs.

And another 9 run run game for Cleveland to go to game 5 in ALDS.. This it it for one of hem. One goes home and one goes to the ALCS..

I’m curious to see how this MLB season plays out. There’s always plenty of surprises over a long season. Who do you think has the best shot at winning the World Series this year?

I will be very honest with the Braves being pushed out by LA, and say it will NOT be LA. I do not see them getting past the Brewers they are just a special ball club. If AL team wins it, I go for the Rays.

The braves offense did nothing in the playoffs this year, sad because if eveyrone is on in the lineup they are no doubt the best offense in the game. Not happy with Acuna though or Riley. Both could not hit to save their lives this postseason, one hit for riley (a homer), two for acuna.... not good. Offseason plans for ATL? GET PITCHING!

And tonight it starts... Cleveland/Tampa in the ALCS. If I were betting I have to admit that I'd probably go Tamps but, with Cleveland, you just don't know. I think that, if Cleveland can average 4-5 runs a game they can win but they have to score.

Well, Cleveland splits in Tampa which is a good thing with the next three games in Cleveland and the series tied at 1-1. At the start I'd be happy with going to Cleveland with the series tied but I worry about Jose Ramirez after his error led to 3 unearned runs in a 3-0 loss in game 2. Jose is an emotional player and I hope his error does not adversely affect his performance.

I swear it's a conspiracy!

Thursday I missed half of the ALCS series because they started early do to bad weather moving in. Friday the game gets rained out...
