HI good evening to you all,
loads of stuff on here its a universe of information

Its Great and helpful
Ive a post running in the newbie section as really strugggling to get tank up and running
mixture of bad luck bad advise and me being totally numb head when it come to this

Any how
my question is
Got 14 Gallon tank 65L not massive as some but fit great for me
also got 3yo Daughter
so like to keep her interested

So when i finally get to Put some fish in my tank what sorts of combinations can i go for

i would prefer a mix of interest colour , size , shape
not to many tiny small fish
but a few good sized fish for the tank

any ideas , combinations
would be gladly recive

i know everybody has personal favorites
but to br honest
ive been mislead by so many LFS over the last month
i trust more of you out there
at leas tyou all see the fish first not the ££££ or $$$$$

Thats my plan for my 60litre anyway lthough i'm debating the platties.

It all depends on what fish you like maybe search some and get back to us and we can advise you

If your going for easy cheap and pretty fish here are a few off the top of my head besides the ones listed above

Cherry barbs
Neon tetras
platys
Danios
Rasbora
Endlers

Careful with livebearers like guppies and platties etc you don't want to be overrun with new fish in a tank that size unless you can give them to someone else lol. I'll second the rasboras as they are very colourful and easy to keep.

Platys eat their own fry as will the gourami's lol plus i work at an LFS so i can take any survivours in.

Anyway i would go with a nice small easy community in a 65 if you want colour variety and something good for a begginer

Id get African Dwarf Frogs, your 3 yr old will be the coolest kid on the block!

Ok ive googled most the fish all very pretty

my choices seem to be

corydoras catfish

Does that ba;nce out ok .. o r not
what sort numbers of each could the tank hold??

or on a different spin
are there any larger fish wish i could have in smaller number say 6 or 8

In my 65 litre I have 4 male guppies, 4 cherry barbs, 4 khuli loach (very cool fish), 4 pygmy corys and 3 bronze cory.

Nice and colourful and different levels.
