What's new

White Cloud Mountain minnows

We had a 5g and a 7.5g when I was a kid. Bred my first bettas in the latter. Then we upgraded to stainless. Here's a listing from a 1942-43 Aquarium Stock catalogue for the marble finish tanks. The prices!

$1.49 for a 5.5 g with Reflector!!! What a deal. My parents paid a lot more in the mid 50's;)...

I have 2 from a group of 3 that i bought. I put a mirror next to the tank and watch them go up and down next to it.

What I love about wcmm is that the golden variant (which is less sturdy, granted) and the normal colored one school together! It makes them unique for creating a school of two colored fish that still feel the comfort of the large school. Quite unique in my opinion

I currently have 5 Tanichthys Micagammae. Going to try attempt to breed them when I come back from holiday. I failed in my first attempt.
I have kept WCMM in the past. I don't care that they are classed as beginner fish, they are brilliant.
