Brand New Fry

So the DT and ST plakat pairs' fry hatched yesterday... I wish wish WISH I could get a good picture of the ST nest, you wouldn't believe... there are easily 200-300 tails hanging down from that thing!!! Too bad the male built it in such a bonehead place.

Here's the DT nest. Someone's a good daddy!

They're all free-swimming now... I think there are between 300 and 400 of those STs, dear lord
I'll count them when I get time to set up one of the new 20 gallons I got (yay PetCo sale!) and transfer them to it. I'm working full days this weekend though, so it might be little while. I got a sweet job at the best LFS EVER, check out the impressive stock list . Haha yes, I am just bragging now, but I am seriously excited about it, it's the best shop I have ever been to, hands down.

Nothin' doin', I'm reconditioning and will try again with the other female. One male made a nest but the female wasn't interested and he didn't put in much effort after that, and the other didn't even make a nest . I think I may have put in too much blackwater extract and too many hiding spots, it's dark in this room as it is and it was probably a little hard for them to find one-another. I'll set up a 10 gallon for them this time once I move all the fry to one of the new 20 gallons and try it again.

EDIT: Do you see? DO YOU SEE??? Look how many fry that is, and it's only a small section of tank Where's the "Cry like a little girl" icon??
