Hi everyone

So Iā€™ve had this cichlid for 4 years now, I got it as an adult with my 2 razorback turtles. Itā€™s almost 5ā€ long. Can anyone identify the species? Iā€™m planning of buying more of the same cichlid to live with it in my turtle tank.

Looks a bit unwell, sunken stomach and curved back. It could have worms.

At first glance I thought it might be a female Aulonocara (peacock cichlid from Lake Malawi) but it could be a Protomelis species or something else.

Maybe @Wills wills know :)

I agree with Colin looks very stressed and possibly ill. Would guess a Malawi cichlid but which species not sure here and there are a lot of hybrids if you donā€™t buy specific species.

What are you feeding them?
