What's wrong with my fish?

It's kind of difficult to diagnose ulcers like this because they can be caused by several things. Bacteria and physical damage are two very common reasons.
 
Is it possible he was attacked by another fish or sucked up against a filter or powerhead?
 
If not, I lean toward a bacterial infection. Parasites and virus can also cause similar ulcers but the eye leads me to think bacteria. Treatment with an antibacterial would be the course of action if that is the case.

That is highly possible they are known to be very aggressive fish. Especially toward other cichlids.
