Just got done with going to a blue angel airshow. Was awesome

We had The Blue Angels three years ago and we get them again this August . Nice thing about them coming here is that Billings is a relatively small “ city “ and there’s no need to go up to the airport . They go so fast and need room to maneuver so anywhere in town is ringside seats .

Saw the Blue Angels a few time when I lived in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is one of my favorite shots that I got. Actually an 11x14 inch shot of the following is on a small wall in my living room along with the Blue Angel support plane and a couple of copters. Click the image then enlarge for better detail. This was taken with a 3.2 megapixel Olympus point and shoot. Personally I think it turned out pretty well. Was taken in 2005.

I am almost finished reading a large old EIA (Estudo de Impacto Ambiental or Environmental Impact Study). This piece of work has 623 pages (I am on 566), a titanic work. Since the enterprise would like to expand the plantation and the works, the company had to do something like that. Usually, a team of professionals, including biologists (for example, to identify the ictiofauna around the project), is hired to elaborate that bureaucratic work. This thing is more expensive and complex to do than to contract top premium immigration lawyers to a thing such as an EB1 with a national interest waiver (for one worker, at least), believe me, even with a national currency with low purchasing power.

By the way, I am also trying to take photos of my brine shrimp, this time, the sick ones. In one photo, I have used Adobe Photoshop to cut the picture; in another, I used Windows' tool to do the same. This is the infamous black spot disease (I am sorry, this is my 10-year-old Canon camera):

If copters are liked Apache Air Assault is pretty good even if 16 years old. Don't even think about trying to do on a keyboard. A 2-stick game pad at least.

I'm back from vacation to see Michigan relatives. We saw almost everyone at least once. Unfortunately we both had bad colds early on & infected my BIL. We focused on family, lots of food & a few friends. The very early flights each way were not fun. Fewer options than our last trip pre-covid.

It's nice to be home! 2 weeks away is almost too long for me. & while I enjoy restaurant & take out meals it got tiresome. My sister & BIL cooked a few times, different but good & not nearly as "healthy" as she pretends, lol.

We're on rest & recovery mode right now. Our teenage neighbor did a good job fish sitting

I can't recall who sang that back in the late 80s, and it was a booze song, but it makes a good point. I don't travel to pubs, but I travel. As soon as I finish one trip, I start thinking about the next. But while I'm doing that, I'm usually recovering from the last trip. I think all of us fish people take our home bases pretty seriously.
