I would guess/hope that Fed Ex would be liable for replacement... :dunno:

Weather here in Sheridan WY is a roller coaster. 61 F yesterday, 38 F today and 61 F tomorrow. Got a few inches of snow 3-4 days ago but it is pretty much gone in the front of my apartments but still present in the back where it doesn't get any sun.

We're supposed to be taking all the kids outside for an hour today to burn off some holiday energy. There really isn't a plan b. So of course, rain and high winds are in the forecast.

I was that guy today, driving down the road with the window down and the wind blowing through my eyebrows. Every hour, the wind gets wilder, and we're in for a blustery afternoon.

With the warmth and the coming torrents of rain, the snow and ice will be gone for a few days. That will open the walking trails, so if any of you get picked up by the wind and dumped along the southern Canadian east coast, send me a note. I can show you some spots.

After a pre winter freeze, it warmed up for a few days. Snow melted. Now another cold front is moving in. The winds are howling! Growl.

I don't think there is much chance of my area having much of a white Christmas. Really rather crazy; past the middle of December and we've only has two snows and those were pretty lite. Fortunately it has been fairly wet and rain here means needed snow in the mountains.

Here is what we are looking at... As long as it stays wet it is fine with me although there is very little chance of rain/snow in the entire forecast below.

Friday before last we got an official 12 inches of snow here in Billings . It’s ALL gone now . A 50 degree day while that wind was raging Wednesday melted it like Jiminy Cricket .

Finally getting some snow today; mayhaps a couple of inches. Whatever we get will be mostly gone over the weekend as come Saturday we are supposed to be back in the 50's/60's for a while.
Billings is receiving no snow after two big dumps in each of the months of November and December . We had a brief rain once this week but it certainly wasn’t anything to write home about . Temperatures are mostly in the mid 50’s and nights aren’t really what you’d call cold for this time of year . This is a fickle winter with its share of ups and downs and general dryness . But , and this is a big but , winter still has the better part of three months to run and anything can happen . Stay tuned .

At a guess I'd say we have had, at the most, 6 inches of snow. That is not good although we have had some rain which puts snow in the mountains.

The UK is a tiny piece of land compared to other countries. Yesterday evening/last night Scotland, the Midlands and Wales had snow. The south had strong winds (90 mph recorded in the Scilly Isles off the toe of Cornwall). In north east England we had no wind worth speaking of and rain. Today's temperature is predicted to be above freezing here for the first time in days so the rain shouldn't freeze on the ground.

So much variation in such a small area.

That UK variation has to be the ocean's nefarious work. We had a storm last week. We have 38cm of snow, but the airport 10 km away got 23, and 5 km from there, they had 44cm. 2 hours north, the fields were bare. And now, the ocean is giving us rain, to wash it all away in a sea of slush. Once it's gone, it's expected to start snowing again later next week.

I saw the UK storm online, and it was remarkably like the one we'd just had, although you don't have the infrastructure in place to handle it as easily.

Sitting here today and it’s beautiful outside . Just like late fall . I can’t say spring because the trees and plants are completely dormant but , anyway , it’s nice . The weatherman says it’s our second warmest winter on record so far . I guess I should fret , worry and wring my hands about lack of snowfall in the mountains but this has happened before and the world didn’t end . I’m enjoying it and revel in the fact that every day like this is one day closer to spring and the much too short days of summer . The city is nearly finished building an additional water treatment plant and the two large storage pond / reservoirs will need to be filled . My crystal ball foresaw this and figured that Murphy’s Law would come into play and have the big fill happen in a low flow year for the Yellowstone . Does that make me a prophet ?

Well, it's still snowy overhere. Something that may last till the beginning of the coming week. And then they forcast that at night it will be freezing cold but no snowfall anymore.
