Some people would call me paranoid about my info and how I protect my privacy. Then again, I am paranoid about these things.

Rocky, I asked my son who has an android phone and he said you need to clear your cache. I clear everything (cache, cookies, etc) on my laptop every day. Yes I do have to remember the passwords for sites I use regularly but even at my advanced years I can remember them all.

and if you cant remember all your passwords, use an alphabetically arranged index card mini file to write down all your passwords. Keep it in a very safe place.

Mine are written on a hidden sheet of paper. It's the ones I use every so often that I can't remember.

My android owning son also said to block google from accessing the microphone and camera as they listen in and target ads to what you've been talking about. It happened to his ex wife and her friend. Blocking is somewhere in the settings.

On the iphone, you can set up many of your apps to sign you in via face ID. Very convenient. I probably have at least 50 passwords for various sites...some I remember, others I can easily look up via my alphabetically arranged file.

Wow! I heard this one story where this Girl's boyfriend was tryong to suprise her by proposing. He found her ring size and was looking online everywhere for THE PERFECT ring... Less than a week later his girlfriend told him that she was getting ads about wedding rings... He was so upset about that... She didnt know why she was getting them but it still made him mad

Sigh... Cleaner... I won't go as far as saying that it is total garbage but I strongly advise that you never use the registry aspect of the tool. Registry cleaners have not been needed since the days of before Windows XP. While tools like CCleaner have their place they can do more harm than good. This is not just opinion, it is fact and I have awards from Microsoft hanging on my wall to back what I say.

Go to your browser. Click the three dots or lines. Then click search history. There should be a button near the top that says: "Clear search history" or something like that. Then it will give you options on what to clear such as data and cache
