Howdy from cow town!

Just to add to the snark...An axle rod could also be called a shaft. You can draw your own conclusions on that one.😁

My current avatar is a picture a parent sketched for me after a concert. (I'm a music teacher) It's weird and funny, and actually captures a little bit of why I do what I do. So I like it. But in real life my beard isn't nearly as cool as this guy's. Nor is my hat.
That is very cool I can see why you'd like it. With my eyesight being what it is and our avatar pics so small I thought the beard was straw. Like someone crossed the wicked witch with scarecrow.

It does but it is no longer monthly. Bi-monthly, I believe. As for a recommendation, I haven't read it in over a decade so I defer to someone who has.

I hear Amazonas is good but it’s expensive . I have had a subscription to TFH for several years now and I like it . $ 28 bucks for a years six issues is a fair price and the writing is good and the regular contributors are good too . Those are your two choices for tropical fish in print .

I haven't been a magazine subscriber since FAMA ended its run in 2010. I've often been tempted to subscribe to Amazonas but have never pulled the trigger for some reason. I do read every word of every issue of two club journals, those of the AKA and ALA. Both have made cutbacks either on their publication schedule or format, JAKA is now bi-monthly but still available in printed form, and Livebearer Journal is quarterly but only digital. However, content quality remains high, especially for JAKA.
