Just to keep up with Mark, some new ones of Sev the destroyer Note the large chunks out of my Fern, yep that was him!

As you can see, he's surrounded by a hord of rainbows

hmm your plants are starting to look like mine hes coming along nicely minx colours getting stronger. hes a right little cutie how big is he now. the 2nd from last pic looks like you could have a male the anal fin looks like its starting to get the extended tip to it .

Yeah I think male, he's about 3.5" ish (im useless with measuring fish)

me too i just hold a tape measure against the glass and wait for them to swim past and hope for the best

Still acclimatising as you can see! And a wee bit stressed, some mad woman flashing lights at them etc

i knew it as soon as i saw the rainbows up for sale i thought hmm new pics in the society soon!! are they little greens? hard to tell in the bag

Yep

I did find a rottie in another store, however, he was off sale, so I asked why, to be told they had a shipment of 3 of them in last week, two had aleady died and this one was covered in whitespot! I said well, can I reserve him for when he recovers, Dont bother I was told as he wasnt likely to make it. They werent treating him just leaving him to get on with it. Oh boy was I mad, I said, well I'lll take him anyway, knowing I could treat it and more likely clear it up quick enough in a spare tank I have. No, not allowed they said. So Ive taken the number and will call them next week in the hope he is ok and cleared up, but it doesnt look good. You'd think they would do something but apparently its too much trouble as the other two had already died anyway.

well if thats the case they should of done the decent thing by the fish and let you take it .

Oh dear, a full two minutes into them being in the tank and we have mayhem!

Sevvy likes to hide under the internal filter, lord knows how because its a tiny space, but thats where he goes when stressed out, usually when Im performing maintenance on the tank.

So guess where they decided they would go, yep, under the filter, right now, sevvy is spinning round batting them with his tail and nudging them with his mouth to get them to move and they are having none of it!


And Ive just found a dead rainbow in the tank, no idea why thats happened.

He is not happy.

if hes anything like vinny hes probably got a right cob on and is sulking in the corner

He is pacing back and forth outside his home, giving them evil looks, as soon as they venture out, which doesnt look like its gonna be soon, he will back in there

his nose has been put well and truly out of joint!
