Does anyone know of a way to "instigate" spawning in Sevs?

I know with hipolo cats you put in cold water to mimic cold rainfall, does anything like this work with Sevs?

if like min your watches the tv try playing them some porn to mek them horny lol

Fish porn huh? Exactly where do you get that stuff then Mark???

lol wouldnt know . well dont look like my gian valis is gonna last long the sevs leave it alone pretty much but just about everything else eats it grrrrrr

Dont you just love giving them those really expensive snacks. So far my plants seem to be surviving the 'snack attacks' of my fish, they just dont seem to be growing much either!

touch wood they seem to have got bored of it now. i decided to try my fish with some bigger live food ( used to give daphnia / bloodworm) so i got some river shrimp today around 3/4 inch long. the firemouths and jade eyeds went mad for them but vinny the biggest fish in the tank a 6 " sev ran and hid. big girls blouse!!! only once hed seen the other fish which are loads smaller than him eat a couple did he come out of hiding and start eating them

Discus? Bah! Severums are where it's at. I'd like to join the club please.
We have 1 Green Sev in a 75gal with Rainbow Shark & Rainbow Cichlid, had him for about a year now and he's around the 4" mark. I bought 2 and gave 1 to my father-in-law, but if we can figure out the sexes and we have a m/f pair then I might dedicate the 75gal to just the pair and remove the tankmates.
So far I've enjoyed my Sev a lot, got me thinking that if I ever wanted to specialise in one species then Sevs would probably be my choice.
I've got some pictures below, they are not as good as I'd like but you can get the idea. Apologies for the dirty tank glass; we're moving in about 2-3 weeks so I'm waiting it out as I'll have to dismantle and move the tank anyway.
