Since we will have to get rid of the angels or the lampeye killifish in the first stocking idea
1. get rid of the angels and replace them with a pair of dwarf gouramis

Since we will have to get rid of the angels or the lampeye killifish in the first stocking idea, I have 2 answers;
1. get rid of the angels and replace them with a pair of dwarf gourami or a pair of apistogramma cactouides.
or
2. get rid of the lampeyes and up the number of guppies etc...
To be honest, I would replace the angels with gouramis, but its your choice princess
John,
Aged 12.
p.s Seffie, can I be princess' fishy uncle

one thing i dont agree with is the dwarf gourami...you could buy 6 and have all of them die in a few weeks...theyre carrying a virus at the moment thats killing them therefor the honey gourami may be a better option.
oh dear, but to be honest really think Princesscoral is stuck tight to angels
also if you can find them there is pterophyllum leopoldi, a small species of angel fish getting to about 8 cm and will not eat smaller fish. to my knowledge theyve never been bred in captivity, and are only available wild caught
That sounds interesting, will take a look tomorrow![]()
Tropic_John, you are going to lead Princess into trouble at this rate. Dwarf Gourami have no strength and melt in tanks less than 6 months old, definitely not a beginner or started fishIf your angels were the same size as the Cockatoo Cichlids, your angels will have been stunted. Angels should get to 8" long with at least a foot of finage, where as your Cockatoo Cichlids get to just 2-3"
All the best
