if you've ever been to a pond in the north you might not think to put anything in your aquarium, obviously as Cold water species do not thrive in warm water, but as summer is just around the corner you can find a myriad of species for aquarium use, Lakes shores are often covered in Ludwigia Palustris, growing emersed, Elocharis parvula is submerged covers the entirety of the pond's midground and shore. also the Persicaria sp. Is extremely common. Of course quarantine and dip the plants to get rid of hitchhikers, but all in all its free for the taking.
