i found the campaign largely forgettable in the end, but the MP has entirely consumed me. this is far superior to MW2 i think.

dont get me wrong. there is plenty of, potential. the plethora of game modes, being just one. but with a 4 year old game engine. no progressive development, the good bits are wasted.

The lag isn't that bad at all. Sometimes you get a server crash, but it's to be expected with a brand new game, especially one as popular as this.

Less popular console maybe?? Though it may have something to do with the numbers of snipers on Xbox MW2 being significantly more than ps3 servers.

indeed no lag(on line. but some in sp mode) on the Xbox. still leaves us with a re-hash of an old game, for our money. and even then, trying to get a squad all on together is a pain, at best, impossible most times.

Raptorrex: Definitely wouldn't disagree with that. I was dissapointed with fable 3 tbh due to the lack of improvement graphics and game wise (there was quite a bit of lag). They really do need to get a wriggle on bringing out a new xbox. We're putting off buying kinect till a new one comes out.

Theres absolutely no point in getting kinect..
Just buy a wii.

i brought a wii, the novelty wore off so i sold it. then i got another when wii fit came out. the novelty wore off, so now it gathers dust. i havnt used kinect, but id bet it will be far superior to the wii. with the motion control idea of the wii combined with the xboxes graphics and developer backing, it will be better. the wii is designed for kids, marketed to kids, and plays like its for kids. ive never played a wii game that seemed like it was made for adults. serious racing games ? rubbish. fifa football ? rubbish. resident evil ? rubbish. the wii sport titles and mario titles are the only things worth buying. hardly hardcore gamer's games. however, the mario galaxy games are easily in the top 5 games i have ever played. but its a kids/family game night console. not a serious bit of kit.

with blackops, i was online on xbox live with a guy last night who had been round a mates on a ps3 playing, and he had also been complaining about lag and crashes on ps3. nothing like that on xbox live yet.

The wii was designed for fat people, and then aimed at kids in the rest of the world. Was a big mistake, huge mistake. Thats what killed the console.

Well, if the kinect is anything like the PS3 move thing.. (which is useless) then it's just not worth the money. The technology is still too new, and there's not enough support for it in my opinion.

^^ That's so unbelivably true. Thing I can't understand though is how quick people are to believe that playing on it for half an hour is actually exercise... That they can then feel good about themselves for the rest of the day. lol. That they've earned that extra biscuit...

you say it killed the wii, off the top of my head i think the wii has outsold both xbox and ps3. though i think without loyalty from japanese customers that would not be the case. the japanese are always up for some weird new #105### when it invovles technology

It outsold as it came out first.

Then the nvelty wore off, and noone made or bought any new games for it. So it effectively died.

hmmm, i punched 2009 console sales figures into google and this came up :

give or take a few the wii sold twice as much last year as anything else. thats nearly 10 million to xbox just under 5 million. im pretty sure the figures are for US sales, it doesnt specifically say but hints at it. so to say the wii died off ages ago is clearly wrong. and considering how well the wii sells in Japan i bet its still outselling everything else. according to mroe info i saw from this source, only 900,000 xboxes have been sold in japan ! even the japanese PS3 isnt fairing much better. and to rub it in the console worlds face, nintendo have sold more DS's than xboxes and PS3's put together last year !

however, still doesnt make the wii good
