Do you have any pics of the place it would go? That may help.

well i got one pic from that, do the same as you did for that pic for any other ones and then i'll get them to show for you :good:

Ludwig, post the contents from the box labelled IMG Code (not HTML Code like you did above)

Is this the same place, mate?

also bear in mind that Ludwig has to source these fish too, which from what i have seen is quite difficult for him...i dont know anyone who works as hard as he does to find and bring home what he wants

To me a high tech planted tank says "hotel lobby" rather than "bar".

How about a mbuna tank with the most awesome rock decor money can buy? Colorful and active fish. You know you want to!

Damn!!! This thread is losing momentum, cause I dunno how to show you guys what we're talking about..... Just take my word for it then,.... I want the most stunning display that money can buy.... (I subsequently spoke to his manageress (from Australia) and she said that if Tony says "the skies the limit", I should go full out, and give him the sky........ She also prefers the big tank.... Big fish concept.

Go with Malawis, the colours of some of the fish are amazing and eye catching.

I look after tanks for a living and you want to keep things simple. Stay away from planted tanks unless you gonna charge to do it.

Go with african cichlids. relativly easy to look after and just keep the number up's so the stress from fighting is kepet down.

Here is a a couple of my tanks to show what u could do if u wanted.

Also do u have to think of health and safety as it's in a public area, so u may have to get plated glass tank or acrialic (spell).

I'd go with either Malawi's (if you want big species go with haps, or lots of colorful fiesty fish go with mbuna); or a predator tank. Since this is a hunting type lodge, I think the clientel would enjoy larger active fish. :good:

Ludwig my old pal!
Forget ther tank and equipment side of things for the moment.
You say in your previous postings that you have to travel great distances to obtain your stock etc.
What type of stock does your nearest and dearest LFS hold.
Please provide a typical stock list of your LFS for our perusal.
Secondly how difficult is it for him to order in something unusual.
Usually a large pet type of fish would relate to a bar setting, you know something along the lines of "Hey Ludwig have you seen the big ******** sp. behind the bar at the Three Crowns". Its also a draw for the pub as well. Curious customers.
Off course you would have to be armed with the answers to the questions your gonna have to answer when you tackle this venture.
A typical community based tank just wouldn't cut the mustard in that type of venue IMHO.
A large active (non bottom dweller) fish with bags of character is what your looking at here with a minimalistic tank and all the filtration and gadgetry thats needed to run such an aquaria.
Too many fish will detract from the WoW factor.
Keep it simple thus giving the least amount of maintainence.
Just a thought.
Regards
BigC
