New Betta!

recently at petco I picked up a female labeled as a baby. I did not want another red veil tail, so I purchase this..Crowntail? Not sure what she is, any ideas? Hopefully her color will change eventually too. Anyways very curious and healthy fish

Not a CT, her rays would already be very prominent at that size. It's probably a veil tail, most female VT don't really get the tail shape your other girl has. She looks pretty healthy though

Here she is in her temporary little biotope. Comeplete with live plants and LED lighting. I can conclude that She is indeed a veiltail. However her body type looks more similar to that of a wild female betta. this is definitely one of the most eye brow raising fish I've ever purchased .still she's a wonderful little thing
