  • Imrove water quality in tank. Isolate afflicted fish. A build up of pressure behind the eye, causes it to push forward and bulge. Apply anti biotics as Erethrymyacin of other antibiotic. Include an airstone in your hospital tank/bowl, but no filter. May take a few to months to heal. Fish may lose sight in that eye or lose eye completely. Fish can still function normally.

    Not sure which situation you are referring to, none of my fish have popeye right now and the last to have it did lose sight in the bad eye but recovered a couple months ago.
    My male Betta may have Pop-Eye in his left eye. could you please look at my recent post as I have posted a picture of him. I was told by NickAu you may be able to help me. Thank you.
