He will be going into a 5x2x2 in February/March. I would say a 4x2x2 may work, but obviously the bigger the better.

They're a very pretty tank though, a real show tank imo.

Yus, now you see the misses would let me have something like that (if we had the room!). It's the only reason she let me get the Trigon, although it HAD to have a 3D background to make it /and the living room look attractive

When is the next update for this beast?? ;)

Update is...

Rainbows have gone.
Veija has gone.

L001 Plec is in due to getting battered by my Ellioti :(
1.5" Oscar is in :D

Next step will be to out the baby BN's and the 3 Bronze Cory's.

You see now the problem is that i have come across a ~8" Flowerhorn at one of my LFS for a very decent price. :S

This would have been perfect if i hadn't of bought the Oscar. It could have stayed on its own like Angelfish guy's beauty.

Lol, but like the wife says... "NO MORE TANKS!" :p. Looking forward to pictures of the Oscar mate :good:

Need to sort the tank out first, the rocks are all over the place due to me trying to catch the Veija. Also will chuck up a few pics of the HRP's new pad.

Update again... I really am spoiling you

Decided to go with black substrate, either sand or fine gravel. Will also be looking out for some Sumatran wood, found some really decent priced stuff from one of my LFS which i don't actually mind paying (shock horror!!)

Tempted to try and add some tough Anubias to some wood and see if it stays there?! Should be ok for the time being as Otis is only a tiddler atm.

Hoping to try and get some worn river cobbles or maybe some slate, haven't decided yet.

Got to stick with the Jade Eyeds in there for a while as the HRP's have decided to spawn again in their new home.

Will soon be adding another TetraTEC ex1200 filter to help with the bio-load and flow. Considering adding 2 150W heaters as the 300W is huge and i am frightened of it going belly up and cooking/freezing the fish?!

Any thoughts?

Haha, picture updates is where it's at!! Have to get some videos up too  - I'm learning this part of it!!

Black is where it's at! ;)

Worh a go, I have some on the bottom (stump) part of the Redmoor wood, hides the stump and looks rather nice!

Cobbles tbh, slate won't stand out much with the black... unless thats what you want??

Sounds good with the extra filter on the tank mate. I wouldn't worry about the 300w heater... it has a cut out thingy on it right? (Thermostat? or w/e?)

Any thoughts?

Non what so ever! :D

Unsure on the slate/cobbles. If I could find some nice pieces of slate I would go with them, maybe green if I could find large enough pieces? Although may go with some cobbles if I come across some good ones. would rather the wood be left to stand out from the rest. Just ordered some led lights from fleabay in an attempt to get some crisp white light in there. Want a big stump/root for one of the corners too so I can tie the anubias to it. May also go for a proper background rather than wallpaper.

Thanks Caz, but i'm not fussed about mopani as much now, it's ok in the smaller tanks, but i am wanting proper wood for this. Redmoor would be good, but i am still trying to talk myself into buying the sumatran wood.

Got a cracking piece of 'home made' (found! ) wood/roots for the nano. :D

A real background as in a 3D one? Best backgrounds out there tbh! Well worth the money ;).

I agree you would need some big chunky wood in there, you could get away with using Redmoor wood but would cost you an arm and a leg to get enough big bits to fill it out!

No a proper one from the lfs. I need the back piece to stick my filter pipes and heaters on
