Thanks mate, it cost £100 second hand, but its not in bad nick really. Came with a fluval 305, 300w heater, 150w heater and 2 fish which I have sold for £30, so a bargain really. The cost when new was about £700.

As for rocks, I always make sure they're solidly placed. I guess they could move but at the moment non of the fish are big enough to shift them. Its not how I want it really, still trying to find inspiration for the setting.

Cheers.

Nice pictures mate. Whats the fish you recently brought and are looking forward to watching grow? I suck at I.D'ing fish .

GIVE ME SOME INSPIRATION!!!

Oh, and why don't you add me on FB?

The fish is a Veija Synspila

They're not really my cup of tea i don't think. Bare in mind the Veija is going to reach 12" when mature. May take a look in the new world cichlid journals for some idea's.

Then you're looking at minimal decor really aren't you? Couple of rocks, bit of wood, maybe a fake plant. Same as you would for an oscar... not much "scaping" you can do...

Sounds perfect Caz. Wish i'd have gone for dark substrate now... Oh well, can always change it later.

Thinking of adding some real plants as a trial once the Rainbows have gone. Need some better rocks and some more branch type structures.
