Looking good, like that moss on wood look. Does the cabinet have doors on it? Would look much better with doors IMO. Dirty, horrid filters! :p

It had doors apparently, glass ones... going to put a mdf door on and paint it black and paint the shelf black on the opposite side to tie in with it.

Just had another tetratec 1200 delivered but I can't get 2 side by side in the cabinet. :(

:hey: :D  :hyper:  :good:

Ahahaha even i can tell looking at your pics that it wouldnt fit

LOL! If the shelf wasn;t there on the other side then there wouldn't be an issue, but to remove it i have got to take the tank to bits, take the stand to bits then set everything back up again. So for now it will have to sit at the side behind the stupid wicker ornament jobby. :hey: Also shortening the spraybar on them both so it gives a bit more of a stronger flow.

Have you tested the flow on one of them with the media? Or did someone already do it in the thread?

No i don't believe they did. I believe SBS tested his ex600 and got 492 lph so should imagine the ex1200 would pump out about 8-900?! Will have a go and see what i get. :good:

Second ex1200 up and running now, finally. Bit of a nightmare trying to fit two sets of pipework in the cutouts provided. :/ May have to invest in an FX5 and run these on some of my other tanks. Need a couple more timers so i can run the LED's for an hour before and after the main tank lights come on and go off. The plecs really love the LED lighting, can watch them really well as they must not think it's 'light' so are still exploring constantly. Even in the daytime they're out and about. Would definately recommend people get some of these to act as moonlights. Shall soon be investing in another set for my planted tank.

Considering swapping my brown BN's for a couple of Albino BN's?

Just prefference Scott or some reason behind it?

The cabinet is a kind of off white, maybe even very light grey so brown wouldn't work?!

Ive got albino bn, not much bristle action tho, must be female?

Yeah i would have thought so mate. :good:

Wanting some yellow in there and i'm unsure how to achieve it... any thoughts?

I just like the brown best  Brown > Beech > Black but that's just my opinion. If black matches the room it's in then that's all good ;).

Requires a tad bit of work but I'd take the tank off the stand, sand the tank down and start from scratch with paint. It will take / look much better :D!

My BN is only small but no signs of bristles yet. Hope it's not a female (not being sexist!) I just want one with huge bristles to look MEAN!!

Waaaaaaay to much hassle! I probably have a young male amongst mine if yours does turn out to be a female. :good:
