Hi everyone
Is it normal for all fish to have aggressive days?
I have had my 120litre tank set up for 5 months now with no real problems yet. Doing weekly water changes and feeding a variety of foods.
Water levels
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 20ppm
Ph - 8 (our tap water is 7.8)
Kh- 178
GH - 320
Chlorine -0
Oxygen -9ppm
My tank stock is
10 neon tetras
6 (now 5) guppies
2 dwarf gouramis
3 rummy nose
2 black widow
1 rainbow shark
1 albino bristlenose
The most peaceful one in there is honestly the shark and bristlenose...they mind their own business for now.
The others are usually relatively peaceful however just this morning I caught gourami number 1 randomly attack a guppy... Repeatedly dragging it down by its tail untill it was unable to swim. I removed the guppy and put in a bucket of existing water. Currently waiting on its fate. I'm now watching the rest.
Anither guppy is now attacking the second gourami??
The gouramis are having a little nip at each other occasionally and the rummy noses are chasing each other at extreme speeds round the tank... What on earth is going on!?.
The only change I have made was live plant I put in yesterday? The gouramis have been eating at it... Could this be causing this crazy behaviour? I also put a copperleaf and drift wood in a few weeks ago.
Thanks!
