Do any of you guys have some spare pitchers they could lend the Jays? Applicants need to be alive with a vague idea of where the ball is going when they throw it and enough strength to last 6 innings.

More and more I'm beginning to offer Bibee...

We will hand over Spencer Strider, I think of him as damaged goods. When he is not hurt these days he just pitches avg, the 100 mph fastball we used to see when he was healthy. He has had at least 4 injuries since making his debut a few years ago. YYesterday he earned the losss, his first, yes, but his ERA is 4.00 and that is not gunna get it done most of the time, but the Braves have helped with with runs.

I would hand over some pitchers, but to bad half of them are hurt! Half the usual rotation... down. 2 guys who have been good, not pitching good. This is why offense is just as important, though. When you have bad pitching (not saying ours is terrible, no they have been good enough) the offense can pick them up and the Braves have done so.

@GaryE , we do play the Blue Jays, starting tomorrow, should be a fun matchup, and a great pitching duel hopefully for Thursday. Sale and Yesavage.

I offer up Bibee as I think he is done or needs a change. In 2024 he gave up 22 homers and 27 in 2025. In 2026 he has already given up 12 and on a pace for 33.. I don't know of anything physical going on so have to guess it is a head problem. Personally I think they need to trade him while they may still get something or send him back to the minors to get his head together. Problem with sending him back to the minors is that he already seems to have a head issue and sending him back could destroy him as a player.

Bibee is a really good pitcher when right but just not seem to be right now. I hope that he gets it together but have a hunch that he won't, at least not in Cleveland.

The Cleveland offense is also an issue with Bibee as he is lucky to get 2 runs as support; they just don't score when he pitches.

Pitching rotations naturally change. 2-3 years ago it was Beiber and Bibee at the top of the rotation For Cleveland. Now it is Gavin Williams and Parker Messic.

Braves won, 4-3. But if you have not seen Matt Olson's home run Yet, please check it out! A 90 something degree launch angle?! It looked like a infield fly ball, but it snuck over the wall! I am shocked!

I like that Braves team, a hard admission for an old Expos guy. They and the Phillies were our bad guys back then! But they have a solid lineup that's fun to watch.

ATlanta has an old Montreal front office guy, Anthopoulos, so that explains it. Toronto made the final and were very good last year, but their front office (Cleveland rejects) seem to have serious problems both planning ahead and inspiring confidence in the fan base. They spend, but the thinking side is weak. I still can't call myself a fan of any team, though I love the game.

I've mentioned before the home run helmet that a player has to wear after a homer for Cleveland. This was done to bring more interaction in the dugout and just for fun. Since I stream Cleveland games I finally paused the stream and got a cut of the helmet. It all started when they were leaving Spring Training and went to a mid-evil type restraint. They liked it and brought it to the field. It has become a pretty big deal. Things like this are what I like about Cleveland. They are young enough to just enjoy playing.

Cleveland won game two of the Yankees series on the road. A win tomorrow gives them a road series sweep again,

Cleveland is one of those odd teams that do better on the road so far. At home they are 17-14 yet 19-13 on the road. Main thing in their favor is that hey have a winning record against teams with a plus .500 record. As they say beat up the bad teams and play .500 against the good and you are probably in the playoffs.

Yeah, the Braves have introduced another item/and or helmet to the celebration after a HR. They had a cleat that looked like a coffee mug with a A on it last year, this years its two baseball bats converted to tomahawks! I love it!

Amen to that, esp the Dodgeres. Baseball can get old after a team wins it twice in a row, the whole thing.

Well Cleveland got trounced today by Texas 10-0 but finished the 6 game road trip 3-3. Any time a team you like goes .500 or better on a road trip you can't really complain.

I wish Cleveland would either get rid of, or drop to the minors, Cantillo. By nature Cleveland is a low scoring team relying on pitching. Cantillo just gives up too many homers. Not sure but I think he gave up another 2-3 in today's game. While they DO have their days, Cleveland's offense is just not designed to fight off homers.

Cantillo is a bit of an odd case as he has some of the best ball movement on the team but it is like he is a tipper. By 'tipper' I mean that he does something on the mound that helps a batter expect a specific pitch. A fastball and change-up should look the same out of the pitcher's hand but they don't with Cantillo. If he is going to last this has to be corrected.

Braves just swept Pittsburgh. 45-21. Harris II has been so good lately. Everyone is speculating the Braves to have the most players sent to the All Star game in Philly. This team just cannot seem to slow down.

Just teasing but... Yes, the Braves are doing really well but last year Cleveland came back from 15.5 games back to win their division. That proves that a team can have a 15.5 game lead and still lose.it. Hey, it is possible that the Braves will play like this all year but it is unlikely. I would be surprised if the Braves don't make the playoffs but making the playoffs starts a whole new season.

I like the Braves (how it hurts to say that). It's an over all good lineup. I wont jump on any bandwagons, because my fandom knees are shot and I have no taste for jumping. But they're good.

Just watching the pregame for tonight's match up between Cleveland and the Yanks. The announcers brought up something I didn't really realize. So far they have played mostly playoff teams from last year yet are still in first place. From what the announcers said the rest of their season should be MUCH easier. On paper they should take the division again but one never knows. That is why they play all the games.

Oh, Gavin Williams is now being talked about as to being a Cy Young winner.
