Braves got COOKED by the fish (Marlins), ouch! Still, only one series loss. Hopefully we will not drop this one. Going to a home game at Truist Park Friday night vs the Nats.

On another note, grats to Angel Martinez, on winning the Al player of the week. I usually do not look at who wins, but he caught my attention with all the highlights recently.

Yes, Angel Martinez has been a nice surprise in Cleveland so far. He was expected to play well but not to the extent he has shown so far.

Actually Angel Martinez is one of three Cleveland players to get player of the week this season along with Chase DeLauter and José Ramírez.

And Cleveland beats Detroit again to have another series win. In the AL Central games against Detroit are important.

Phillies over 500 now. Nats nearing 500. But this shows you how dominate the Braves are, we are still 8 games over both. 33-16, still best record (sort of tied with the Rays, they have 15 losses, we have 16, but we have 33 wins, with them having 32. 1 series loss. 1 series tie. 2 more wins to take this series against the Marlins. Acuna Jr is back, getting on base 3 times. How about Martin Perez? 10 ks, a career high.

And Cleveland beats Detroit again to have another series win. In the AL Central games against Detroit are important.

I just wish that Cleveland could score a couple of runs for Bibee! He has yet to have a win but has pitched well enough to have a bunch. I can't say why but many teams have a pitcher that just gets no run support.

Cleveland just got done sweeping Detroit in their series in Detroit. Never easy to sweep a four game series.

WOW! What a game going on between Cleveland and Philly! No score after 7 innings and both starters still in with only 7 hits between teams. Of course I want Cleveland to win but, so far, this game has been a great pitching match-up between Christopher Sandhez for Philly and Gavin Williams for Cleveland.

Win or lose I love a good defensive and pitching battle and this is one.

Sanchez is out of the game in the ninth, still no score. Oops, Cleveland up 1-0 by a pinch hit homer by Manzardo in the top of the ninth. Cade Smith comes in and gets another save. 1-0 win for Cleveland but a clutch hit by either team could have won the game. In this game Cleveland got the clutch with a pitch hit homer.

Cleveland is now 5-0 on their current road trip. Cleveland seems to be getting back to where you need to beat us or we take the game.

I mean, come on, how many tams go 5-0 on the start of a road series?

Braves with an amazing win. Unreal comeback. 11 innings we wewre down 4-2 in the 10th but we found a way with Chadwick Tromp a back up C winning it all! I was there watching all of it, at Truist. 36-16. Best record in MLB. Have won 4 of last 5 games. Being there live was a great feeling, one of the best atmospheres as far as stadiums go in the MLB.

Cleveland just finished an awesome 7 game road trip. Swept 4 in Detroit and went 2-1 in Philly to go 6-1 on the trip.

Of course I'm biased but ya have to tip a hat to a team that goes 6-1 on the road against two 2025 playoff teams.

Bases loaded, 2 outs, 2-1 game. The MVP himself, Acuna Jr comes up, and does what? Broken bat gorund out. That means he went 0-11 in the series. The offense hit a heck of a wall. Pitching, as dominant as it can even get. But when you do not score, it makes no difference. A 2 game losing streak. But now we are only 36-18, it is almost like those two meant nothing. Happy for the amazing start, but let us hope this mini slump of offense does not linger to a major drought! Teams get hot for a while, then go ice cold, ice cold teams get hot. It is baseball. I am not too worried but hope Acuna can get better! Go braves

So how does Cleveland keep being so good year after year? I put it on how they handle their farm system. They lose someone to injury or trade and it just does not seem to matter. Take Kwan as an example. They need a left fielder? No problem, just bring up Kwan who gets a gold glove his rookie season and every year since. This year you have another rookie, Chase DeLauter – 30 RBIs, 47 hits, .292 AVG and he can steal a base... A rookie leading the club as to RBI? Then there is another rookie, Travis Bazzana. Another rookie playing like a veteran.

Of course management is a big factor. I mean how many teams have head coaches like Tito Francona followed by Stephen Vogt? I've never always agreed with everything they did/do but it is hard to argue with success. These coaches are/were loved by the players but, mayhaps, more important is that the players, young and old, have trust. Again let's bring up Kwan. I seriously doubt that he likes being bounced between left and center field but he does it, and does it well, without a hint of complaint due to having total trust in Stephen Vogt. Coaches such as these two (and others, of course) bring out the best in players whether young or old.

Yep. The Braves have been killed by injuries! We won the NL east title 7 years in a row, before the Phillies rose up and took control. Then the new manager. A transition period for ATL, but the fact they have the most runs scored as a team and tied 1st most runs avg per game (5) is unreal. I have had a lot to brag on with this team, so of course there will and has to be some bumps in the road. Look at CLE, a semi good start, then recently have turned it ON!



Yep, CLE is killing it! They have the staff!
