That is so annoying. Many places seem to be just out to make money and dont actually care about the fish they are selling, also they dont seem to have a clue about Bettas unfortunately. Did you say anything to them when you went back and found them in with the females?

Nothing, When me and the misses walked out the shop the bloke said bye, i just blanked him,

There are quite a few breeders on here who are very nice and trustworthy and who definitely care about the fish so if you want any more ask here first. If you dont live close to anyone then postage for up to 3 fish is normally about 7.99(next day delivery before 1pm) and the fish tend to be way better quality than you will find in most shops.
