My water is rather hard at the moment and too alkaline. Can anyone recommend a product to level these out a bit?

Describe the set-up and why do you want to lower them? What are the tap water readings? What are the readings now and what do you want to get to?

If it is a new set-up, you can expect both to drop slightly as it matures. In my experience, the only sustainable long term solution is to add wood to the set-up and plant it.
