How about this? Not sure if I ever gave tank size. It’s my 55G.

That's a pearl gourami and your tank is a good size for them. They are at the peaceful end of the gourami spectrum. That doesn't mean totally peaceful like cories as I found when one 'female' turned out to be a juvenile male and the dominant male chased the juvenile all over the tank till I rehomed him, but they don't bother the other fish in a tank unlike some of the more aggressive gourami species.

OK. I think I’ll order the Pearl Gourami. Thank ya’ll so much for your help.

And in a 55G, you could easily have 3F/1M....I've even kept males together in larger tanks, no issues

If you order more than one, make sure they will send you the gender of your choice not just a random fish taken out of the tank.

I think my favorite thing with these two is watching them prod each other with their little barbels

by the way, both females? Males? Male/female?

Don't mix Pearl Gouramis with Honey or Dwarf Gouramis. and remember Pearls can get to over 5" long. They are big fish.

I can’t find a male, just indexed. Don’t want a female. Dang!
