a stupid one, i got a eheim 2213, broken cyramic shaft for the impeller, ordered new part of flea bay, it arrived the other day, yaya i thought....i took it apart removed the rubbers, added new rubbers n shaft, pushed it in,added impeller, turned it on, thought didnt sound right, didnt push it in enough, so took apart pressed with thumb...guess what happened next

it's one of those weeks... I've gone and done it again

on todays water change, I wasn't paying enough attention to the end of the syphon in the bucket... it came out of the bucket and soaked the floor... not too much since I saw it happen and stopped it right away but....

I think it's safe to say we all spill water, there's just too much involved. The next house will have a tiled/watertight area where the tanks go!

I am trying to sort out my portfolio to get onto an architecture course, so you never know, I could end up doing it one day... imagine sitting in your living room, which has a wall of glass (or acrylic...) and just looking out to see fish... ou'd need a few heaters, and quite a large filter system, and easy access to the roof to be able to feed them... and you'd need scuba gear to scape it too...

One day me and my mrs want to do a self build (years down the line) and there will be some kind of central fish tank in there would def want to do some kind of SA biotope or maybe even split it like a column of 4 so I could do all the stuff I wanted actually I think ill just set up a fish house..... I did mean like a traditional fish house but now I want a house built out of tanks with just a big chair in the middle....

other than that, with a tank that size ou could get away with loads, there'd be no point fishless cycling, ou could throw a shoal of 50 tetra in to cycle the tank and it'd be months before you could measure any amount of ammonia...
