Hi everyone,
After reefing (saltwater) for a while, I've decided to take a step into freshwater aquatics. I've had this tank setup for quite a while and just recently changed the substrate and lighting. I felt the lighting for the Edge was slightly limited as since I love the design so much, I decided to setup my own LED lighting. It's basically an arrangement of SMD LED strips.
The tank looks absolutely stunning now - fully lit, and believe me, the pics do not do justice - it really brings out the colour of your stock! I've connected the non-white LEDs to a separate transformer which allows for a 'night mode' which is absolutely stunning, again the pics do not show the extent of how beautiful this looks. I've got one red platy in there for now, I may or may not add some shrimp later on.
Other details about setup:
Substrate: Unipac Ice white sand (1mm GS)
Bogwood piece
Moss balls
There is a way to brighten up your Edge!
Any questions please ask.
