Fishyless Cycle Log Take 2

3/12/10

0830hrs

24hours after dose

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite <0.1ppm
PH 8.2

Pesky Nitrites are hanging on in there

Personally I would drop the 24 hour tests and save the reagent, at this stage it`s the 12 hour tests that show where the cycle is at

I would advise checking your pH every 12hrs. If your like me Tom and have poor kH levels then its quite easy to get caught out with a pH crash at this stage of the cycle.

Looking good Tom, fingers crossed for double zero's
Skins.

errr, how would testing every 12 hours rather than every 24 hours save me reagent?

I`m assuming that at this stage in your cycle you are testing at 12 and 24 hours

OIC, no, I am testing only at 24 hours but did do one 12 hour test out of curiosity. When my nitrites hit 0ppm at 24 hour testing I will start 12 hourly testing.
