Do You Ever Think That You Might Have Over Done It With The Fish Tanks

well only have a 20 and a small hospital/fry tank which needs emtying , come to think of it i may do it tonite :D
would love a big big tank or go into a particular species and start breeding but only 15 atm so got to consantrate on school GCSE's for the moment and even then i will be hopefully be going into the navy when im about 17 so doesnt look like my dream tank will be happening for a number of years yet :(
but o well, just more to look forward to in future life :D

I have 3 tanks & 1 hospital tank.

I'm selling the 4ft soon & replacing it with a 5ft. I'm also considering selling 1 of the 2 1/2 ft tanks too, but I'd like to keep one & have a go at breeding something different to the livebearers I've been breeding for a couple of years.

I've got a little 5 gal. stocked with a little to many fish (they're all happy and ammonia and nitrite are zero). For Christmas, i'm going to get a 20-30gal. (hopefully 30) with one parrot cichlid and maybe some shrimps, adf's,or snails. I just want one fish, the parrot, because I absolutely LOVE them. When I move into my new house (prob. in a year or so) i'm going to get a marine tank which will be between 75 and 125 gallons. It's going to be a reef system with soft corals only and compatible fish (clowns, goby, wrasse, one tang, e.t.c). Research is in the works and money must be saved! So for now I have 1 tank, soon to be 2 (in..um...84 days), and in the near future a 3rd!

shame the parrots need a 50

yeah we're feeling it at the moment, got 6 up and running, an 80g NW Cichlid tank, Ian's 60g angel tank, the 30g marine, 30g community, a 5g betta and an 8g betta tank.

But it's just the SW tank that's the problem, having major nitrate issues (although I think we finally got to the bottom of it last night, not fixed but we know what's causing it and how to fix it now... wooo!) so water changes every other day and loads of time and energy means we're just feeling like we've no time for anythign else and we're a bit swamped.

That being said though, hopefully we should have it under control by the end of next week and I think after that things will settle down a bit. Ian should then have the time and money to turn his 60g into a nice high tech planted tank and I can go abck to just tinkering with te community and cichlid tanks.

It's only really when there's problems that having lots of tanks becomes an issue, if one of them takes up all your time, the others suffer and get problems too, then it all goes wrong!! :/

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question....

Never!! I have 17 and i'm working on getting more, squeeze 'em in and stack 'em high.

LoL! Too Funny! I feel ya :good: Going to town tomorrow to have my husband get wood to build a "stackable" for my 2 30 gallon tanks. Gonna put one about a foot from the floor with flip top - ceiling to that will be the base to the next tank which will have a flip top on that. Cant figure out any other way to do it.... I want more! So far 65 gln, 2 30 gln, 12 gln, 10 gln, 5.5 gln - all in use cept one 30 (being set up in the next couple days) an the 5.5. - tihs is addicting , an to think it all stared with a wittle bitty fishbowl & a betta!

To answer the question tho - too many tanks? Maybe but its only to calm the ache for a couple VERY large ones! Got my eye out fer a big un' :D

Well....Letsee:

The Pseudtropheus Saulosi 20gal tank
The Panda Tank 8 Gals
The shelldweller tank 10 Gal
The growout tank 4 Gal or so
The Hospital 3 Gal
The hatchery 1 gal

So thats 6....but really only 1 tank :p

I have two: 30G and 55G. Constantly changing the 55G around, just did it two days ago actually, planning on posting pics. Anyways, I had a 10G, but I called that the "death trap" cause I couldn't keep anything alive in it (it was my first tank).... I don't think I'm skilled enough to tackle a nano sized tank yet  so I'll stick to my two :good:. but one day...I'll have this guy in my living room:

Big Tank This would be sweet :D

I have 2 1/2. A 20 gal. community, a 10 gal and a 2.5 gal. hex which is a combo quarantine/hospital/ fry tank. Oh-oh (wrings hands) what if the little tank is in use and I see a fish I just have to have, or there is a fry explosion, or two fish get sick with different things? Definately need another tank! Oh honeeee........
