Poll: How many tanks do you presently have in your household.

I am curious to see how many tanks our members presently have set up and active in their households. Please answer the poll and if you wish, add more information about your tanks. You might tell us the size of your tanks and the type of fish you stock.

If you wish, you could also respond with telling us the most number of tanks you have ever had set all at the same time in the past. But the poll is for the number of tanks you presently have set up and active in your household.

I presently have 2 tanks set up in my house....a 29 gallon tank in the basement and a 5 gallon tank in my small office. The 5 gallon tank houses my sole Betta named Pretty Boy Floyd. The 29 gallon tank houses several juvenile BN Plecos, 1 full grown BN Pleco, 4 Black Skirt Tetras (I hope to add more soon), a Peppered Cory, and one Bolivian Ram.

The most tanks I've ever had set up at one time is four...a 10 gallon, a 5 gallon, a 35 gallon tall hex tank, and the 29 gallon tank.

I have 2.
The main tank is a community tank (details in my profile) and the small tanks has just shrimps and a Clithon snail (small nerite-type) The most I've had is 3, the third was a nominally 54 litre tank which held just 45 litres. That was in the kitchen and I had to close it when we had the kitchen altered and there was no room for it.

53 active. They range from a 120, to a line of 5s I'm using for killifish pairs. When I was a student, I had one tank, a 20 long, but other than that relatively short period, I've always had at least 3.

They aren't in the house, but in an insulated room in a building out back.

I have 2 community aquariums plus a shrimp bowl (low maintenance). When I had 3/4/5 aquariums the maintenance became a chore and I felt I couldn’t give them enough attention. Two is manageable (I work 5 days a week).

I have 8 tanks atm in sizes from 5g to 75g. Now……I can dream about getting a ninth tank…….a 120g - 180g. But when push comes to shove, I’m happy with what I have.

I have just one tank running now.
My 180g in my living room.
When I was breeding fish my fish room had 8o+ tanks totaling over 1,000g.
Maybe once again with the fish room if I ever retire.
Still several years off.

14 running currently, ranging from 5 gallons to 65 gallons and 2 large tanks that require some finish work on the house before they can be set up… ( 70 and 250 gallon tanks ) I’m a huge MTS sufferer..

I have eight active tanks, which includes a hospital tank and a quarantine tank. They range in size from 5 gallons to 60 gallons.

I currently have 10 running, but sometimes that number doubles, depending on how many I need for grow outs. My biggest tank is 8x2x2, but I’m currently saving to reinforce my floor so I can get my 12x3x2 dream tank. That’s just about big enough to keep all of the rainbowfish I want long term.

You can see my big tanks through my front windows, and I found out a while ago that some of my neighbours refer to my house as “the one with the big fish tanks”. I’m guessing that’s a polite euphemism for crazy.

I don’t have any tanks at present . They won’t fit through the door and I don’t think the floor would support one . I do , however , have nine aquariums set up and running with fish in them . The term “ tank “ is not something I like to describe an aquarium . You keep gasoline in a tank .
