footprint is 48"long, 15"wide, 18"high, it slopes at the front and is 12"wide at the top ?
Any guesstamations ?

ok forget my first guess as i put the figures in wrong

the way i just did it was to do the main part of the tank first. so i did 48x12x18 and got 170 litres or 37 imperial gallons or 45 US gallons.

so you are left with the area that includes the slope which is 3 inches at the widest point sloping back to 0 inches. so 48x3x18 gives 42 litres or 9 imperial gallons or 11 US gallons. divide this by 2 gives the area within the slope which is 21 litres or 4.5 imperial gallons or 5.5 US gallons.

add the 21 litres to the 170 litres and you get-

191 litres. 42.1 imperial gallons or 50.5 US gallons

it took me 3 goes to get my maths GCSE so i might not be correct but it looks good to me

I get 149 litres, the tank is wider at the bottom and narrows at the top (I think)

I used the volume calculator for 48Lx15Wx18H , 48Lx12Wx18H , I split the difference then added it to the smaller answer, can't remember what I got though

I just got round to doing 48l x 18h x 12w = 170ltrs
48l x 18h x 15w = 212ltrs
differnce of 42ltr, split it for the slope= 21ltrs + 170 = 191ltrs
cheers mate, at least I know now, looking forward to puting some stock in there
