Anubias Nana?

Just to clarify...it's not the roots that will rot. The roots can be out under the substrate. It's the rhizome that the leaves come out of that you cant put under the substrate or it will rot. All of my anubias plants are "planted" but the rhizome I made sure is not. They are all doing well. Lol.

That makes sense yes, i notice when i tie anubias to low or shallow pieces of wood or rocks, the roots do bury under the substrate by themselves.

Then when I try to move the anubia and wood/rock quite some time later, I find the anubias has very surprisingly long and many roots under the substrate.

But i still advise to tie/glue to decor/wood/rocks as this seems to keep things much simpler

Good point though about the rhizone, not the roots, that will rot if planted too deep.

I had the same experience! when I was moving my 75g and was taking the plants and such out, the anubias's roots where like halfway across the tank.
and I just use basic sewing string an tie it to rocks, unless I can get them to stay firmly in the substrate.
