And So It Begins...

this was my first tank, the GF and i between us now have 5 tanks, With fish ranging from a 3 quater foot long oscar to bettas a "livebearer) community tank with rasboras, danios corys endlers and some tetras.

the past 6 months has been a huge learning curve.
and the next six will be too as were off to pick up our first marine tank today...
But the guy who works in our faverote LFS gave me and the MRS a huge compliment, he said "i love it when you guys come in i can have a decent conversation rather than just the same old crap about how you can`t put an oscar in a 2 ft tank"

so yeay me....

and thanks for al the comments guys, i`m glad i started this thread now cos i can see how well the tank has come along since i started it. it is quite a change

you've come a long way, i'm really proud of you hun

slightly concerned at how my house is now being over run by fishtanks but never mind!!

and no sp00ky, course he doesn't  i think like a lot of lfs employee's he just gets sick of having to tell people the same things over and over and getting abused when he doesn't give people the answer they want. He's a really decent bloke and properly knows his stuff when it comes to fish.

Great Pics ! That Black Angel Is Awesome!

that's angelis. he's the only remaining survivor from my angel tank, I had one and bought a air of angels from a dodgy lfs and they were ridled withdisease and nuked my tank, within a week or so everything but angelis was dead, I just couldn't treat it and sort it fast enough :-( anyway I managed to save him, kept him in the tank by himself for a bit to check he was healthy while I decided what to do with the tank. Moved him to a community tank as I wasn't gonna keep angels anymore but I just couldn't bear to part with him. I was just started to get concerned cos the tank wasn't tall enough for full adult angels and he was started to get big..... just didn;t know what to do... then I met Ian just as he was starting his tank up and decided that was the best place for Angelis to go. Now he absolutely lords it over the tank and is looking absolutely stunning.... and even better he's bakc in my house now! :D

very nice. I thought about angels for a long time, and that almost looks like the ideal tank i thought about with them. (the set up with cories ect)

i miht be getting rid or moving the corys elsewhere sometime soon. i`m thinking of turning the tankwell planted and i`1m thinking of adding some ottos and the corys keep digging up my crypts

well almost a year on and the tank has gone from.....

no the angels went back to the LFS when i started to go down the heavily planted route as i wanted a large school of tetras in there and didn`t have the stocking space for everything

I think living with such a marvellous fishkeeper as myself has rubbed off on you ;) :p

just kidding, i'm dead proud of you hun, think your a wonderful fishkeeper and i've learnt a lot from you. :D

Wow a three year gap between a reply. Lol

Seeing as you've revived your thread with that input and chance of an update. The last picture was stunning, how has it gone since then?
