even with what you call mirky water theres still quite a big improvement.

makes the last cave look like a high security prison in the middle of the country side lol.

I need to find some more plants to replace the BACOPA CAROLINIANA at the back as the bottom leaves constantly sed and only the top inch of the plant has any leaves, and i also need to find somnething to g infromt of the wisteria to hide the stems and what not.....

very nice. I thought about angels for a long time, and that almost looks like the ideal tank i thought about with them. (the set up with cories ect)

Looks awesome Ian! The fish all complement each other really well, and the plants look great.

(In a bizarre twist, I will now go upstairs to say Happy Father's Day to my dad, who is ALSO called Ian!)

You have come a long way with your tank. The new cave looks much more natural and the tank looks better when more heavily planted. Those are some very cool looking angels you have 8) Hope your tank keeps on becoming better and better.

ATLAST its finished, my tank is cycled,

after alge blooms, plants dying snail infestations and now a plantera ( i think its how its spelt) out break my tank is ready for fishys......

but i`m nervous, what if i`ve done something wrong?
what if i put the fishys in and they die???

any one else get this feeling on their first tank???

Anyone else wonder how you've posted to this forum over 900 times and this is your FIRST tank? Wow, you must have done tons of research...kudos to you!

He has a betta in an 8g, I think.

I believe he means his first big, community tank.

this was my first tank, the GF and i between us now have 5 tanks, With fish ranging from a 3 quater foot long oscar to bettas a "livebearer) community tank with rasboras, danios corys endlers and some tetras.

the past 6 months has been a huge learning curve.
and the next six will be too as were off to pick up our first marine tank today...
But the guy who works in our faverote LFS gave me and the MRS a huge compliment, he said "i love it when you guys come in i can have a decent conversation rather than just the same old crap about how you can`t put an oscar in a 2 ft tank"

so yeay me....

and thanks for al the comments guys, i`m glad i started this thread now cos i can see how well the tank has come along since i started it. it is quite a change
