You don't want a big lump of egg yolk in the tank because it will cause ammonia problems. You only need to add a small amount several times a day otherwise the water quality will go off and the fish will get sick or die.

Leave all the babies with the parents. Cichlids that are grown up with the parents for the first month or more, make better parents when they breed.
