i am trying to purchase an eel from cameroon and i sent the guy my money.but i recieved an email back and he says tha due to the airplane crash in cameroon,i need to pay $300 so that its all insured and then once my fish arrives i get the money back.anyone know of this or might someone be trying to sucker more money out of me?

Me too I wouldn't trust him.

i sent something to a global scam company.just waiting on an email back.

Any way you can cancel the transaction with him and order through a local pet store? Would be a much safer bet since they can still source them for you!!

Not a chance I would give this guy any more money, How did you pay him first off? If by credit card I would give him another week or so without paying him any more money and then dispute the charges.. .any good company will get you your money back!

Sounds dodgier than a game of dodgeball at a global dodgeball tournament. I don't trust anyone who asks for more money upfront on top of costs like that.

If there was a plane crash, wouldn't it have been on the news?

wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw a plane!!! send him nothing! what company was it u used out of curiosity?

Sounds very dodgey! But he isnt lying about the plane crash! It was on the 5th of this month, it crashed in a swamp in Cameroon killing all 114 passengers. :rip:

It might've actually happened but it seems like a really isolated incident.. It's not like their going to purposely crash a plane just so they can get a few bucks of you for a fish... That would be silly. It's your money that you paid for the fish they should just send it to you and if there's an issue with shipping it should be on the shipper not on you... I would under no circumstances send them additional cash.
