On a whole products like this aren't acutely toxic to fish, so he should be fine.
If your tank has been set up for a while, Quick Start (and similar products) won't be necessary. By the time your tank has been running for a few months, there's enough good bacteria generated within the tank to withstand larger water changes. Just make sure that you're using your usual water conditioner, and your tank and the fish in it will be alright.
