150G Stocking

Would a pair of red spot sevs work instead of the rotkeils? Ive been trying to decide between the 2 and i think the red spots edge it for me.

Yeah red spots would be fine now since its a 5x2x2 now :D But yeah that stock list looks pretty top notch - Ill tell you what you want though, some Leopoldi Angels and some Krobia sp. Rio Xingu - oh no wait thats my tank  jk

Haha. The angels do look great though. My tanks already pretty much the stocking youve got so they might work lol. Nah i think ill leave it with a fairly low stock because i would like to have a few of them breed.

I think im going to go for gold sevs i saw a load today and they look great. There about 2-3" and where only £4.99. I saw a lima shovelnose which is really tempting me but i think ill have to say bye to the BNs if i get one. It was about 8" and £24. They had tiny little black ghost knife fish aswell and after seeing one i defiantly want one. Is £10 a good price for one about 3" long?

you should get sevs! they're like members of the family. they're amazing
I am. Hopefully a pair.

Would a 21G be ok to grow out a BGKF in. There only 3" and im worried they would get bullied. so i was wondering would it be best if i got one first and grew it out on its own in a 21G until is a few " bigger.

I think i might go for the lima. Apparently they wont eat fully grown BNs so there shouldnt be a problem.
So
2 gold sevs
5 redhead tapajo geophagus
3 bns plus fry
1 black ghost knife fish
1 female Nicaragua Cichlid
1 lima shovelnose

and ill have to rethink the dithers because it think the emperors could become a snack.

What do you feed your lima on?
Ive been looking around and most places say muscles, prawns and carnivorous pellets.

Nice stock list :good: Where are you thinking of getting the Shovelnose from?

Word of warning with the Nic - they dig, A LOT. Mine just never stops

Haha. Between that and the BNs im never going to keep the tank how i want it.
Tut hill in bury have one in its been there for a few weeks now its in a tiny tank but looks well feed and active.

I went swallow aquatics today and was really tempted by a pair of tapajo geos for £13 but i managed to resist. They had some nice golds sevs aswell 4 for £18. They had a tank with about 8 nics in there but they where all just plane browny sort of colour they must have been a good 3" long. Is it just they are still young? or are they just bad quality?

Any ideas other than silver dollars that would work as dithers? There going to need to be big no because of the shovelnose.
