It's unlikely that a topic like this would be pinned. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it's just pinned topics are normally like:

Guides (Hitchhiker guide, just one of hundreds on the forum. Breeding guides another example)
FAQ's (Leading to other guides etc)
Rules (Posting rules, competition rules, classified section rules)
Directories (Fish store directory)
Legal Issues (Banned fish etc)
Forms (Like those in the classified section)
Awareness (Matt's topic on the Xingu river)
Journal's, Photo's and Inventory's (found on all? Species pages)
Help (like the one's which help users have problems with the actual forum)
Other (like the actual Pin Me! Topic)

This topic is opinion based, which is unpopular amongst pinned topics. I don't think there is one pinned topic with a poll involved? (maybe wrong)

Plus, just a side note.

It would be good if you narrowed the poll down to like:

Catfish
Characins --> then give examples like (tetra's) for example.
Cichlids (African)
Cichlids (Central and South American)
Cyprinids
Labyrinth
Livebearers
Oddballs

But like I said, you may have a chance to get this pinned. Here is the link to the page where you request a topic to be pinned. Maybe Ian or one of the other mods could sort you out and give you feedback. I know when I asked, Ian pinned one of my topics, so it's worth a shot!

Good advise. I did find it strange that species that are uncommon and some members don't even know of such as Knifefish are in the poll which common fishes like Danios and Rasboras weren't. But it seems to be getting fixed.
Also try to correct spelling mistakes and use capital letters when mentioning fishes.

Zeke, i'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the likelihood of this thread getting pinned is very minimal. There has been many thread like this in the past and i'm sure there will be more in the future.
