This is Blue. She is a 1.5 year old, German Short-Haired Pointer. I got her earlier this year. The friendliest dog to humans, and meanest to squirrels lol. She knows how to retrieve things up to 15 yards away from shore in water right now. She is in training to be a duck hunting dog. She is so sweet, everytime I tell her to go in her cage, she comes up to me, cuddles as close as she can with me, and puts on a sad puppy face. It is one of the cutest things. She has not got her first squirrel yet, but she is getting close. Just this morning she was inches away before the squirrel got up into the tree. She is very fast, and can jump super high. I would say she could easily jump the Hight of 6 feet. She obeys very well, and responds easily to "Blue, come". I feed her high energy dog food, and boy, she is a high energy one. Her favorite summer afternoon activity is to slowly stalk birds or squirrels, for a long long time. One time I watched for 20 minutes without her moving 5 feet. She is the prettiest and sweetest little thing.

Hi all, this is Bracken. He's a 4-year-old cocker spaniel who, for the first three years, was always mistaken for a golden retriever. He is such a loving dog with absolutely no aggression and is my constant shadow; even when I go to the loo or in the shower, he's there. When he was younger, I would to hime to the beach and throw the ball for him across the sand. He would always dip his toes in the water but was reluctant to go any deeper. So one day, when it was warmer, I went into the sea to try and encourage him to come in; he came in, but it was very quickly apparent he couldn't swim, as he was just getting out of his depth. He would splash around with his front paws, coming right out of the water and looked like an old paddle steamer. How embarrassing! I had a Spaniel that looked like a Retriever and a Spaniel that couldn't swim . The decision was made. I bought him a dog flotation jacket and took him in the sea again, keeping hold of the handle on the top and reassuring him to relax. Fantastic, after only a couple of minutes, he realised the legs stayed underwater, and he could swim. After a few more sessions of this, I took off his life jacket and replaced it with his regular harness and just allowed him to enter the water of his own accord. He did, and he loved it. Now when we go to the beach, I throw the ball along the shoreline; he runs for the ball, gets it, then enters the sea just out of his depth and swims back along the shoreline; now he's the perfect swimming Spaniel...or so I thought. Once he tried the rivers or lake, he soon realised he's not so buoyant, and it's a little harder, but he soon got the hang of it. He's such a loving dog that also lives with his brother Spaniel "Dwayne" and his two sisters Lilly and Daisy, both Deer Head Chihuahuas.

Whoops, voted to see who was winning, but forgot must vote for at least someone. Or change the vote. Lol, so just fyi everyone, I do not usually just vote for myself (which ig, no one really votes for themselves, but their pet, fish tank etc)

Wow…..we gotta a tight race going on here And….there is no harm in voting for one’s own entry. After all, if one puts a pic into the contest, they are (let’s be honest) wanting to win, think a lot of their animal, and took the time to do so.
